Game content

Luigi is invited to the sprawling Last Resort Hotel, but when Mario and his friends get lost, our green-clad hero will have to overcome his fears to save them. Bang, blast and suck out ghosts with the all-new Poltergust G-00 and join forces with Gooigi to overcome mysterious devices and vicious bosses on each themed floor.

See if you can defeat all the ghosts, rescue all the toads or complete other challenges before time runs out in ScareScraper. And if you want to experience more minigame madness, compete in teams in ScreamPark. Whether you’re playing with friends or wandering the hotel alone, the atmospheric music and spooky decor will draw you into every cobwebby corner you explore. Why not head out for cinematic sights and sounds with a friend? In the main adventure, you and a friend can play together as Luigi and Gooigi in two-player co-op! Gooigi can walk on spikes, slip through tight spaces, and help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t handle on his own. It never hurts to have a friend in this hotel; he may not be very scary, but Luigi begs to differ!

Reviews

The game starts as you’d expect – Luigi has been sent an unsolicited invitation to stay as a VIP guest in a luxury hotel, and if that sounds familiar, well, how else would you set up a game like this? He’s not alone in this, however, as Mario, Princess Peach and a small band of toads have also made the trip, and when they arrive, all seems to be well.  To us gamers, however, red flags seem to be everywhere. For starters, none of the staff look normal; they’re all wearing creepy masks and the lack of legs makes them look like they came from Fire Emblem: Awakening or something. It almost seems like the entire hotel is haunted and haunted by ghosts, which is just as well, otherwise it would be a very boring game.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is not only a graphical feat and a showcase of Next Level Games‘ unrivalled mastery of video game animation, but also a huge serving of spooky fun. The amount of care and attention put into every aspect of the game is abundantly clear, and the result is one of the most enjoyable and engaging titles out there. It’s also the undisputed pinnacle of the series, which – after this great release – will hopefully gain even more love and attention from fans and the gaming community at large.
